Tessa's Tea Room Cafe

Tessa's is the place for relaxing and delicious lunches as well as formal high and afternoon tea served in an intimate, antique atomosphere located in the heart of Phoenix on Central Avenue just south of Camelback Road.

The Tea Time Tradition

Tessa's was opened in 1993 by owner Patti Tzineff, naming it for her newborn daughter, Tessa Camille.

"I wanted a spot for relaxation and good food and loved the idea of afternoon tea. My mother and I loved sharing a cup of tea with a little snack in the afternoons after school and I always cherished that time. In our family a cup of tea anytime was a time for relaxation and conversation."

That tradition has continued and expanded well beyond just the Afternoon Tea. Our menu satisfies the full range of appetites (everything from "delicate lady" to "manly man").
